Rudi Rüttger Sauvignon Blanc “Tutti Frutti” Trocken 2024 is a playful yet precise white wine from Germany’s Pfalz region — an area celebrated for its sunny climate and expressive, fruit-driven Sauvignon Blanc wines. Winemaker Rudi Rüttger, representing several centuries of family winemaking tradition, brings youthful freshness, vibrancy, and an effortless elegance to this cuvée.
The name “Tutti Frutti” says it all — the nose bursts with lime, gooseberries, tropical fruit, and fresh herbs. Subtle hints of green pepper and lemongrass add a lively edge to its aromatic profile.
On the palate, the wine is crisp and refreshing, driven by bright acidity yet balanced by an elegant structure. Flavours of pineapple, grapefruit, and green apple unfold cleanly, leading into a long, pure finish with a delicate mineral touch.
The Pfalz region’s sandy and limestone-rich soils, combined with its warm summers, allow the grapes to reach excellent aromatic maturity while maintaining freshness — one of the key elements behind the success of this wine.
Serve at 10-12°C with white fish, broccoli, cauliflower dishes, soft cheeses (especially fresh goat cheese Chevrepaille or Buchette).
The family has been dedicated to winemaking since 1643. Rudolph Rüttger is the main responsible for the wines. Before joining the family business, he gained experience at home and abroad. After completing his studies at the HBLA Klosterneuburg, he developed some fresh ideas, influenced by jobs at wineries in Austria, New Zealand, and Germany. He now takes care of the works in cellar and vineyards with the help of his father Heinrich Rüttger, also his mother Theresa is often helping out. This is a family business: his siblings Heinrich and Katharina especially love to help out when there are winefest-times.
