El Destilador is the flagship tequila brand of the Mexican family distillery Destilería Santa Lucía (NOM 1173). The distillery was founded in 1940 in the state of Jalisco by Enrique Guillermo Newton, and today the business is carried on by the fourth generation of the Newton family. Over more than 80 years, the family company has grown into one of the region's best-known producers, exporting its tequilas to the USA, Europe, Latin America and Asia, while preserving its traditional, family-run approach to production.
