This rare and exceptional 1972 vintage Calvados, aged in oak barrels for at least 38 years, reflects the finest traditions of the Normandy region and boasts an incredibly smooth, balanced taste. It is a quiet and elegant expression of "eau-de-vie" dominated by comforting notes of baked apples and Madeira; on the top of this prestigious bottle is the seal « PH », which are the initials of our ancestor: Pierre Huet, the year of the Millesime is indicated with wax on the neck of the bottle, made by hand, and the bottling date and the number of the bottle are written down on the back label.
Aroma: fresh green apples initially unfold, later replaced by autumnal scents of undergrowth and mushrooms with hints of Madeira.
Palate: exceptionally smooth and harmonious, reminiscent of a French "Tarte Tatin" apple pie, transitioning into a long, noble finish.
Serving suggestions and pairing: recommended to be tasted from a tulip-shaped glass at 18–20 °C, after letting the spirit breathe for about 15 minutes; perfect as a standalone digestif for special occasions.
