Planeta Cometa Bianco Menfi BIO 2023 – a wine that combines: intense fruit characteristics, mineral precision and lively acidity.
The wine reflects the Menfi terroir — sun-warmed, chalky and influenced by the sea — while giving a modern, precise taste impression.
The wine is like Sicily itself in a glass. The aroma is charmingly repeated with the aromas of the island's typical vegetation - safflower, thyme, subtle notes of chamomile, which are lightened by the fresher nuances of mango and pomelo grapefruit. In the mouth we feel juicy acidity, minerality and a nutty, floral aftertaste.
Hand-picked berries are separated from the stalks before pressing the juice. 90% of the must is fermented in stainless steel barrels, 10% - in 225-liter oak barrels. After spending some time in contact with the yeast, the wine is blended and bottled.
Serve at a temperature of 8 -10°C with fish dishes, light snacks, and salads.

The organic Planeta 2023 Sicilia Menfi Cometa (made with 100% Fiano) is a full-bodied and creamy expression of a grape that is otherwise known for crisp and lightly textured wines. Not here. This wine is all about richness, texture and depth. It starts off in stainless steel and matures in tonneaux and 36-hectoliter Allier oak casks. The fruit comes from Dispensa at 75 meters above sea level and Gurra at a lower 35 meters in elevation. Despite the hardships of the vintage, this wine delivers nothing but pleasure. It is a 52,000-bottle release.
