Rose sweet
Kracher Red Roses Beerenauslese 2023 - a sweet wine with a refined profile, distinguished by its firm structure, richness, and elegance. The "Red Roses" series is part of the Kracher collection of sweet wines, in which the winemaker showcases his mastery from selectively chosen botrytized fruit.
Vibrant aromas of rose petals (from freshly picked rose petals to rose water), red berries (strawberries, cherries), subtle notes of honey and spices, along with watermelon and citrus accents, create a rich, balanced wine structure. The taste is intensely sweet yet elegantly playful; the sweetness is balanced by fresh acidity and minerality. The texture is concentrated and rich, while maintaining clean lines. On the palate, a sweetish muscat character and subtle tannins emerge on the finish.
The wine was aged for 24 months: 2/3 in new and 1/3 in used oak barrels.
Residual sugar: 196.1 g/l
Acidity: 7.8 g/l
Serve at 10-12 °C with cherry cake, pancakes with nut cream, and chocolate desserts.
The Kracher winery in Austria is located next to Lake Neusiedl. It is one of the few places in the world where practically every year it is possible to grow and harvest a proper harvest affected by noble rot and to produce sweet wines. It is the sweet Kracher wines that have gained worldwide recognition and various titles, the producer himself has been recognized as the winemaker of the year five times, and one of the most famous wine critic Robert Parker rates Kracher wines the highest (the only Austrian wine is rated 100 points!). Kracher wine is characterized by harmony, as the sweetness is offset and balanced by refreshing acids, and the most complex wines are exceptionally long-lasting and become an object of collection.
