White dry
The wine is distinguished by concentration and nobility, qualities shaped by the harvest of mature vines, low yields, and unique soil characteristics. To produce this wine, grapes are hand-picked from the winery's three finest vineyards: Dutton-Jentoft, Charles Heintz, and Dumol O'Connell. The wine is aged for 11 months in French and Austrian oak barrels, 30% of which are new.
On the nose, the wine reveals subtly expressed notes of grapefruit, lime, lemongrass, wet stone, fresh bread, oats, and wet mint. On the palate, it is weighty and creamy with an oily texture, unfolding orchard fruits and savoury hints of aromatic herbs on the finish.
Serve at 12–14 °C with grilled salmon, pasta, richer cheese pizzas or porcini mushrooms fried in butter.
So much Meyer lemon and apple character with some pears on the nose and palate. It’s medium-bodied. It’s like tasting out of a fermenter full of crushed must. Such unadulterated purity. A tight palate with bright acidity and lovely fruit. Drink now.
DuMOL is a California wine estate based in the Sonoma region, known for its precise vineyard work and clearly defined approach to terroir. Since its founding in 1996, the estate has focused not on mass production but on interpreting each vineyard site and each vintage individually.
DuMOL works with carefully selected vineyards in Sonoma and parts of Napa. Every site is managed individually, taking into account soil composition, microclimate, and the specific conditions of each year. This approach allows the wines to reflect place rather than a uniform “house style.”
The estate has built a strong reputation with ‘Pinot Noir’, ‘Chardonnay’, and ‘Syrah’. ‘Pinot Noir’ shows concentration and structure while maintaining freshness and a clear fruit profile. ‘Chardonnay’ stands out for its balance, where fruit character is combined with precise acidity and subtle use of oak. ‘Syrah’ is marked by complex, spicy nuances while retaining elegance and a restrained structure.
The harvest is carried out by hand, fermentation is carefully controlled, and ageing takes place in French oak barrels used with restraint to avoid overshadowing the character of the site.
DuMOL wines are often described as concentrated yet not heavy, expressive yet not showy. It is a Californian interpretation built more on structure and balance than on sheer intensity.
