Sparkling dry
Andreola Vigneto Dirupo Brut Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG is one of the most famous and best-representative Prosecco wines from the steep slopes of Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG. The name “Dirupo” means cliff or steep slope in Italian – a direct reference to the dramatic vineyards of Valdobbiadene, where the so-called “heroic winemaking” is carried out.
The wine is made mainly from ‘Glera’ grapes, supplemented with a small amount of old local varieties – ‘Bianchetta’ and ‘Perera’. The grapes are hand-picked from steep slopes located at an altitude of 200-500 meters above sea level, where calcareous clay and sandstone soils give the wine minerality and elegant structure.
The aroma reveals notes of acacia, hawthorn and apple blossom, complemented by aromas of green apples, pears, white peaches, melon and citrus fruits. Alongside the fruitiness, subtle nuances of spice, minerality and light sweetness are felt.
In the mouth, the wine is characterized by an extremely fine and creamy foam, refreshing acidity and a very good balance between fruitiness and dryness. The taste reveals apple, pear, citrus peel and subtly salty mineral notes. The aftertaste is long, clean and elegant.
The wine is produced using the Martinotti-Charmat method - secondary fermentation takes place in large pressure tanks in order to maintain the fruitiness and clean aromatic profile of the ‘Glera’ variety. The base wine is aged for several months in stainless steel tanks before secondary fermentation.
The residual sugar in this wine reaches about 8–10 g/l, so the style remains dry, but at the same time very harmonious and gastronomic.
Serve at 6-8 °C with fish and white meat.
Kriaušių, obelų žiedų aromato. Gaivios rūgšties, o lengvas saldumas dera su gaiviu vaisišku skoniu. Labai ilgai išliekančio poskonio vynas
The nose shows aromatic notes of apple blossom over tones of perfumed tangerine and candied lemon zest. Quite refreshing on the palate with a crisp acidity supporting the hints of sweetness.
Andreola winery, located just outside Valdobbiadene on the Col San Martino, produces Prosecco with a very distinctive flavor. Here the landscape is completely different with high hills with steep slopes and terraced vineyards. Stefano Pola, who runs the winery, draws on the long tradition of winemaking in the region, but does not shy away from modern solutions to improve quality. The family farm has 70 hectares of vineyards, dominated by Glera grapes, but not forgetting the old local varieties such as Verdiso, Bianchetta and Perera. In recent years, Andreola has received much praise from wine critics. Their first wine, Vigneto Dirupo Brut Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG, which debuted back in 1984, was awarded the highest accolade of the Gamberro Rosso in 2019 - the Tre Bicchieri. Not surprisingly, this wine also won the best wine title at the 2019 Lithuanian Wine Championship.
