Sparkling dry
The masters at "Louis Roederer" created this champagne as an ode to the exceptional strength and firm character of Pinot Noir. The harvest is gathered exclusively from the estate's oldest and most prized vineyards, where a north-easterly exposure ensures a slow and steady ripening of the berries. This unhurried pace of maturation imbues the fruit with a particular richness, which the winemaker later transforms into an exemplar of refined power.
The nose is greeted by a powerful yet sophisticated aroma. It is dominated by notes of ripe pear, concentrated citrus fruits, and hints of juicy red berries. As the champagne opens up in the glass, classic "Montagne de Reims" characteristics emerge: toasted almonds, freshly baked brioche, and a subtle touch of smoke and flint (limestone).
The attack on the palate is dynamic, vertical, and full. This is a concentrated and energetic wine, featuring a structure with a "fleshy," vinous texture. There is an ideal balance between the sweetness of sun-ripened fruit and a piercing acidity. The finish is long, saline, and mineral, leaving a clean, almost creamy, and elegant trail.
The foundation of this vintage consists of 80% Pinot Noir complemented by 20% Chardonnay, the majority of which comes from the prestigious village of Verzy.
The champagne matures on its lees for at least 4 years in the cool cellars of the house. After disgorgement, the bottles rest for at least another 6 months.
Served at 8-10 °C with oysters, seafood, eggs Benedict or grilled fish.
The Louis Roederer Champagne House, established in 1776 in Reims, France, has been crafting top-quality champagne, esteemed worldwide, for over 240 years. This independent, family-owned house gained fame for creating the legendary "Cristal prestige cuvee." To this day, the company's management remains in the hands of the family, with the seventh-generation representative, Frédéric Rouzaud, currently at the helm. Louis Roederer distinguishes itself by producing the majority of its champagnes exclusively from grapes grown in its own vineyards, a significant portion of which are located in prestigious Grand Cru territories.

Their own vineyards allow Louis Roederer to strictly control the quality of the grapes and ensure the distinctiveness of their champagnes.
Aging and Best Time to Enjoy
Louis Roederer champagnes are aged for a long time in cellars, giving them more complexity and subtlety. Even the basic Brut Premier is aged for several years. Vintage and prestige cuvée champagnes, such as Cristal, are aged even longer, gaining exceptional depth and elegance. These champagnes have excellent aging potential and can be enjoyed both young and mature.
