Red dry
Organic and biodynamically farmed Pinot Noir from Marlborough, New Zealand, produced at Clos Henri, an estate founded by the Henri Bourgeois family of Sancerre.
The nose reveals ripe strawberry, redcurrant and cherry notes, complemented by floral aromas and subtle earthy and vegetal nuances. As the wine opens in the glass, hints of asparagus leaves, forest floor and mushrooms emerge, adding further complexity.
On the palate, the wine is soft, juicy and fresh, with a clearly defined red-fruit character. Fresh acidity provides energy, while ripe, supple tannins give the wine structure. The finish remains fruity and clean, combining strawberry, cherry and redcurrant notes with subtle earthy nuances.
The grapes are grown in organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards. The wine is fermented in open stainless-steel tanks and then aged for approximately 11 months in large 7,500-litre French oak vats.
Serve at 16-18 °C with mild meat dishes, grilled meaty and fatty fish, smoked fish and caramelised duck.
