Red dry
An elegant and authentic red Burgundy that perfectly reflects Michel Gros’s craftsmanship and the vibrant character of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits hills. This wine is made from carefully selected ‘Pinot Noir’ grapes grown in the Michel Gros family’s high-altitude vineyards, located near the renowned appellations of Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges.
The bouquet reveals ripe cherries, raspberries, cranberries, and violets, accompanied by earthy, spicy, and subtle oak undertones. The aroma is bright, lively, and well-balanced, capturing the classic fruit purity and elegance of Burgundy.
On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, smooth, and harmonious, with a silky tannin structure and fresh acidity that provides both balance and aging potential. The flavor is dominated by red berries, vanilla, delicate spice, and a hint of minerality. The finish is long, clean, and fruit-driven, preserving Burgundy’s hallmark finesse.
The wine is aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels, of which approximately 20% are new, to maintain the natural expression and purity of the ‘Pinot Noir’ grape.
Serving temperature: 16–17 °C. Pairs well with roast duck with cherry sauce, herb-roasted veal, or medium-aged cheeses such as Brie de Meaux or Morbier.
The roots of Domaine Michel Gros, located in Vosne-Romanée, trace back to 1830 when the first member of the Gros family settled here and established their estate in the very heart of the Côte de Nuits. Subsequent generations continued to expand the estate's holdings with dedication, which today encompass 23 hectares. The estate's distinctive pride is the Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Clos des Réas," which the Gros family has owned as a monopole since its acquisition in 1860. Today, Pierre Gros, the seventh generation of this winemaking dynasty, supported by his father Michel, continues and develops the work begun by their ancestors. Passionate yet rigorous, Pierre constantly oversees the creation of his wines, meticulously controlling all stages of production – from vine cultivation to bottling.

The white wines are often fresh and enjoyable in their youth, although some higher-end ‘Chardonnay’ can also gain further complexity with bottle aging.
