Planeta Carricante Eruzione 1614 Bianco is a wine from the foothills of Mount Etna: piquant, mineral, and refreshing. This wine is born at the base of the Etna volcano, where the grapes grow under exceptional conditions — in soil composed of a mixture of lava and sand, 860 m above sea level, surrounded by forest. The Sciaranuova vineyard lends the wine a unique character: it is piquant, mineral, and fresh, reflecting this volcanic land.
The grapes are hand-harvested, then chilled to 8 °C to best preserve their freshness and aromas. They are then sent for soft pressing, and the juice is fermented at 15 °C in stainless steel tanks. The wine, kept on the lees and stirred regularly until March, gains additional depth and texture, becoming particularly elegant and balanced.
The wine displays a pale golden colour, with aromas of green pineapple, unripe apples, and overblown acacia, which merge into a subtle bouquet of fruit and flowers. On the palate, the wine is gentle, with a vivid flavour of lemon zest and green gooseberries that lends freshness and refinement.
