G.D. Vajra "Rosabella Rosato 2025 is a delicate, very elegant rosé wine, which reveals a very clear 'Nebbiolo' origin and the character of the Langhe hills.

The wine is made mainly from 'Nebbiolo', with a small amount of 'Barbera' and 'Dolcetto' grapes. In the glass, aromas of blood oranges, strawberries, raspberries, pomegranates, peaches and rose petals are revealed, complemented by citrus peel, white flowers and a delicate note of white pepper.

In taste, "Rosabella" is characterized by a light but very precise structure. Bright acidity and minerality provide energy, while the delicate texture and notes of juicy red fruits transition into a long, dry and very clean aftertaste.

The grapes are grown in ecologically managed plots around Barolo, La Morra, Serralunga d'Alba and Novello. Part of the Nebbiolo is fermented using the “saignée” method, a short contact with the skins that allows for a subtle color and aromatic intensity without losing freshness. The wine is briefly aged on the lees.

Serving recommendations

Serve at 8-10°C with:

Fresh seafood: Mussels, shrimp or clams with a citrus sauce or a light herb and garlic oil.
Grilled or raw fish: For example, sea bream or trout grilled with fresh vegetables and lemon zest.
Prosciutto and melons: The combination of Prosciutto di Parma with sweet melons or strawberries will provide a great flavor contrast with the fruity notes of the wine.
Bruschetta with tomatoes: Fresh tomatoes, basil and garlic on toast will go well with the freshness of Rosabella wine.
Pasta with fish or vegetable sauce.
Salad with citrus and nuts: A fresh salad with grapefruit, oranges and walnuts will provide a great balance to the wine.
Avocado and Tomato Salad: A salad with avocado, tomatoes, and basil, dressed with lemon juice and olive oil, will complement this wine perfectly.

About brand

The Vajra family has farmed Bricco delle Viole, the highest cru in Comune di Barolo, since the 1880s. At the young age of fifteen, Aldo Vajra embraced the dream to revive his family legacy. Displaying a vision and commitment belying his young age he took over the estate in 1968, turning a new page.Aldo soon acquired the first organic certification of the region (1971), created private biotype selections (selezioni massali) of Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, pioneered the renaissance of Freisa, a noble yet forgotten local grape (1980) and the cultivation of Rhine Riesling in Piemonte (1985).Today, the Vajra family continues the vineyard research focusing on the influence of soil and climate change.
