White dry
Youthful, yet remarkable in its purity and expression of terroir. An exceptionally streamlined, crisp, mineral-driven wine made from several distinct vineyards: Schlossberg, Krone and Kapellenberg, dominated by slate and quartzite soils that reveal themselves on the palate with their intense, perhaps slightly raw flinty power, a cool fruity bouquet, and aromas of wild herbs and crushed stones.
Serve at 8–10 °C with seafood, oily fish dishes or richer soft cheeses.
Still very youthful, but the wild-herb aromas are already pronounced. The super-sleek silhouette is married to a wonderful subtlety of flavor in this very cool and mineral dry riesling. Crisp and crystalline finish that some may find slightly challenging at this early stage in the wine’s life. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Vegan. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
From Schlossberg, Krone and Kapellenberg, the 2021 Lorch Estate is entirely from slate soils and quartzite and opens with a pure, intense and flinty, coolish bouquet with bright fruit and crushed stone aromas. Fabulous in its purity and terroir expression! Elegant, round yet dry and refined, this is a mouth-filling, sustainably salty and finely grippy dry Riesling that comes in with five grams per liter of residual sugar and 12% alcohol. Very long and full of juice and energy. Some Sauvignon (or gooseberry and leaf) notes on the aftertaste. Screw cap. Tasted in July 2022.

Winemaking Philosophy
Weingut Georg Breuer is dedicated to producing elegant, dry Riesling wines with a strong sense of terroir. The quality pyramid ranges from Estate and village-level Riesling to the premium Terra Montosa cuvée and single-vineyard Grand Cru wines. The focus lies on low yields (especially 15–25 hl/ha in top sites), rigorous hand selection of healthy ripe grapes, spontaneous fermentation, and ageing in traditional large oak casks.
The winery practices sustainable viticulture and is certified under the FAIR’N GREEN standard — one of the strictest sustainability certifications in Germany.
Wine Style
Georg Breuer Rieslings are characterized by purity, finesse, vibrant minerality, and excellent structure. They offer great drinking pleasure when young, yet possess the balance, acidity, and depth to age gracefully for 15–30+ years.
Weingut Georg Breuer represents classic, high-end Rheingau winemaking at its best — refined, terroir-driven, and timeless.
