Weingut Georg Breuer is a historic family winery located in Rüdesheim am Rhein, in Germany’s Rheingau region. Founded in 1880, the estate has been owned by the Breuer family since the early 20th century. Today, it is led by Theresa Breuer, the fourth generation, who has been running the winery since 2004.
Since the 1980s, Weingut Georg Breuer has established itself as one of the leading high-quality producers in the Rheingau. The estate cultivates approximately 40 hectares of vineyards across Rüdesheim, Rauenthal, and Lorch, with over 65% located on steep slopes.
The main grape variety is Riesling (approx. 86% of plantings). In addition, small quantities of Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder, and the historic varieties Orléans and Heunisch are also grown.

Prestigious Vineyards (Grosse Lage / Grand Cru):
Winemaking Philosophy Weingut Georg Breuer is dedicated to producing elegant, dry Riesling wines with a strong sense of terroir. The quality pyramid ranges from Estate and village-level Riesling to the premium Terra Montosa cuvée and single-vineyard Grand Cru wines. The focus lies on low yields (especially 15–25 hl/ha in top sites), rigorous hand selection of healthy ripe grapes, spontaneous fermentation, and ageing in traditional large oak casks.
The winery practices sustainable viticulture and is certified under the FAIR’N GREEN standard — one of the strictest sustainability certifications in Germany.
Wine Style Georg Breuer Rieslings are characterized by purity, finesse, vibrant minerality, and excellent structure. They offer great drinking pleasure when young, yet possess the balance, acidity, and depth to age gracefully for 15–30+ years.
Weingut Georg Breuer represents classic, high-end Rheingau winemaking at its best — refined, terroir-driven, and timeless.
