Van Nahmen Pomegranate Juice
Van Nahmen pomegranate juice is a juice of exceptional purity, 100% naturally pressed and unfiltered, made from pomegranates (Punica granatum), with no added sugar. The pomegranates grow on trees more than 100 years old, and each fruit contains up to 400 seeds rich in naturally occurring nutrients. Gentle pressing preserves the authentic character and structure of the fruit.
In the glass, the juice shows a deep garnet colour with a slightly increased viscosity. The aroma opens with delicately tart red fruit notes of pomegranate, blood orange, sour cherry and plum, complemented by hints of black tea, pepper and mint. On the palate, the juice is dry and light, with fresh acidity and a subtle tannic grip. The finish is harmonious, balancing delicately tart fruitiness, juicy acidity, a silky tannin structure and a light touch of salinity. An elegant, dry juice.
Recommended to serve at 10–12 °C. Pairs beautifully with aromatic cured meats (such as prosciutto or mortadella), pasta dishes (spaghetti Bolognese), veal, grilled saltwater fish, poultry or duck breast. It also works well with appetisers, mild cheeses and mushroom dishes. For a fresher style, mix with sparkling water in a 1:1 ratio.

The history of "Van Nahmen" began in 1917 when Wilhelm Van Nahmen founded an apple puree manufactory, which in the 1930s transitioned to producing apple juices from local Rhine region varieties. Since 2007, the family has been producing juices from rare varieties of various fruits, some of which are turned into non-alcoholic sparkling beverages. To preserve old varieties, the family not only collaborates with organic farmers growing traditional variety fruit trees but also plants between 500 and 800 local variety seedlings each year. Since 2005, the family business has been led by fourth-generation representative Peter van Nahmen, who believes that juices made from old varieties, like wine, reveal a wide world of aromas and sensations in the glass. The "Van Nahmen" family is a perfect example of how combining regional traditions, biodiversity preservation, and an innovative approach can create a successful product. Currently, "Van Nahmen" offers various single-variety juices, sparkling juice teas, and sparkling juice cocktails (non-alcoholic alternatives to sparkling wines), as well as ciders.
