Carnuntum is an Austrian wine region located east of Vienna, between the Danube River and Lake Neusiedl, where wine culture has flourished since Roman times. Today, it is one of the country’s most dynamic and rapidly growing appellations.
The region’s climate — a combination of warm Pannonian air and cool Danube breezes — allows grapes to ripen evenly, preserving both fruitiness and elegance. The soils, a mix of limestone, gravel, and loess, lend structure and refreshing minerality to the wines.

Carnuntum is especially renowned for its red wines made from Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, and Merlot, distinguished by their subtle power, pure fruit expression, and long finish. The white wines — most often Grüner Veltliner or Chardonnay — stand out for their freshness and precise acidity balance.
It is a region where Roman heritage meets modern craftsmanship, and every bottle reflects the warmth, history, and strong character of this land.
