White dry
An expressive, structured white wine from one of Chablis’ most renowned Grand Cru vineyards. “Les Clos” is known for producing powerful, complex wines with excellent ageing potential. Here, ‘Chardonnay’ combines rich fruit character with lively acidity and the characteristic minerality of Kimmeridgian soils.
The nose reveals citrus fruits, ripe yellow fruit and subtle floral notes, complemented by hints of almond, honey and delicate spices. The palate is rich and concentrated, yet retains freshness and precision. Bright acidity lends the wine energy, while the long finish brings together citrus, fruit and stony mineral notes.
The vines grow on the right bank of the Serein River, in Kimmeridgian soils comprising alternating layers of limestone and clay marl rich in ancient marine fossils. Domaine Servin’s “Les Clos” plot covers 0.88 hectares, with an average vine age of approximately 32 years.
Domaine Servin’s “Les Clos” is fermented and aged in French oak barrels.
Serve at a temperature of 12–14 °C, alongside butter-fried scallops, lobster with lemon butter sauce, or pan-seared sea bass with asparagus.
Domaine Servin, located in the heart of the Chablis region, boasts a profound history dating back to 1654. From the very beginning, the Servin family has been dedicated to grape growing and winemaking, nurturing the land and perfecting the secrets of this noble craft. Today, the estate owns 32 hectares of vineyards, a significant portion of which are situated in prestigious Premier Cru and Grand Cru plots. Under the leadership of François Servin, the quality of the winery's wines consistently improves each year. He has not only replanted vines with a significantly higher density than is common in the region but has also achieved exceptional grape concentration. In the best plots owned by Domaine Servin, grapes are harvested only by hand, emphasizing precision and attention to detail. François strives to blend traditional and modern winemaking methods, utilizing stainless steel fermentation tanks, yet a portion of his wines carries a subtle "touch" of oak, while almost all Grand Cru wines are fermented in oak barrels.
