The most renowned naturally flavoured Chinese green tea. The tea is produced in two stages. First, leaves and buds are picked in April from the trees on which white tea typically grows. The leaves are processed using the green tea production method, then rolled into pearl shapes and dried. The leaves are then set aside until summer, when jasmine begins to bloom. Second, in summer, jasmine flowers are picked, then mixed with the tea leaves and kept for 10–12 hours. The process is repeated several times.
An intense aroma of jasmine and a subtle flavour of spring tea-tree buds and leaves. A clean and gentle green tea.
Preparation: brew one teaspoon (3 g) of tea leaves with 250 ml of 95 °C water and steep for 2 minutes. The tea leaves can be steeped several times.
Store in a dark, dry place.
