The Château Léoville Barton 2004 is an exquisite Bordeaux wine that beautifully expresses the characteristics of this renowned Saint-Julien vineyard.
The wine's aroma unfolds with fresh white floral and mineral accents. It has a very expressive taste, is juicy, and stands out with silky tannins. A subtle oak note adds complexity and helps reveal dark berry, licorice, and chocolate undertones.
For 200 years, the Barton family has carefully and precisely nurtured their exceptional ancient vineyard. Barton wines, characterized by delicious fruit juices, captivate with their expressiveness and power, becoming even more elegant after years spent aging in the bottle.
This Château Léoville Barton 2017 vintage proved to be one of the most exceptional wines on the Left Bank of Bordeaux.
This vintage was meticulously aged for 16–18 months in French oak barrels, of which 60% were brand new.
Serve at 16-18 °C with game, beef and lamb dishes.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Léoville Barton charges out of the gate with bold notions of baked plums, crème de cassis and blueberry preserves plus wafts of pencil shavings, fragrant earth and cedar chest. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating black fruit preserves with compelling herbal sparks and a firm, grainy texture, finishing long and lively. Mar 16, 2020
The purity of cabernet sauvignon really comes through here with currants, blackberries and stones. Perfumed, too. Medium to full body. Very fine, polished tannins and a fresh, fruity finish. This shows a compact palate with a polished, creamy finish. Much higher percentage of cabernet than is usual. Drink after 2023. Sunday, Dec 22, 2019
