Château Margaux 2012 is one of the most elegant and refined wines classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé from the Margaux appellation, distinguished by its delicate structure and complex aromatics. This vintage is an excellent choice for both collectors and lovers of the highest level of refined Bordeaux style.
The bouquet is complex and captivating: blackcurrants, blueberries, and cherries blend with notes of violets, floral tones, wet stone, tobacco, and cedarwood. In the background, subtle hints of graphite, fine spices, and minerality emerge – a true expression of classic Margaux character.
On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with refined, silky tannins and fresh acidity that create a perfect balance. Flavors of black cherries, cassis, and forest floor unfold into a long-lived, structured finish.
The blend consists of 'Cabernet Sauvignon' 87%, 'Merlot' 10%, 'Cabernet Franc' 2%, and 'Petit Verdot' 1%. The wine was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
Served at 16-18 °C with game, lamb or rich beef dishes garnished with wild mushrooms.
