Red dry
This Com Tu is made from 100% Grenache from 3 ha vineyard, located at 580m above sea level. Annual production is no more than 8000 bottles. The grapes come form 35 to 50 yeard old vines grown on red clay and limestone soil. The wine was aged in large foudres for 18 months.
Com Tu is a mixture between the Rene Barbier philosophy and his adopted son Anderson. It is a homage to all people. The name of the wine has to remind you that we all are the same within. We all share basic needs that make us human, make us equal. In summary, I am like you (Com Tu), you are like me.
On the palate it is soft, with harmony but the taste development goes in crescendo, and it leaves us with an exceptional aftertaste. This wine amazes us and fills us with vitality. It is only natural that my son sees the music and the poetry through it.
Serve at 16-18 °C with grilled or roasted red meats, mature cheese, Iberian ham.
2018 was a cool and rainy year, and the 2018 Com Tu has a fresh and elegant profile. It comes from different Garnacha vineyards in the village of La Figuera; it fermented with some full clusters and some destemmed grapes with natural yeasts and matured in two used 4,500-liter oak foudres for 18 months. It has some spicy and creamy notes and is juicy and ripe, as La Figuera is a warm village where the grapes ripen thoroughly. 2018 in Priorat is very fresh, but in La Figuera, the wines still feel quite ripe, with Mediterranean character and some dusty tannins. 12,000 bottles. It was bottled in April 2018.
Clos Mogador is one of the most respected and influential wineries in Spain, located in the renowned Priorat DOQ region. Founded by the celebrated winemaker René Barbier, Clos Mogador not only elevated the global reputation of Priorat wines but also became a symbol of the region’s modern revival.
Clos Mogador is rooted in natural winemaking, a deep connection to the land, and profound respect for nature. René Barbier was one of the so-called “Priorat revolutionaries” — a group of visionary winemakers who, in the 1980s, revived a nearly forgotten region and proved that world-class wines could be produced there.
