White semi dry
Klaus Lotz Riesling Trocken 2024 — the wine is distinguished by its subtle elegance, refreshing acid balance and mineral terroir nuances, perfectly reflecting the spirit of the vineyard location.
In the aroma, you can expect fresh green apples, citrus notes as well as a discreet touch of white flowers; possible reflections of minerality — slate or slope — giving the wine a sense of coolness and transparency.
The taste is dominated by clean, crisp fruitiness: green apples, citrus acid with a subtle shade of peel, perhaps light notes of pear or nectarine, gradually revealing a more cautious fruit profile. The wine is light in structure, with a graceful acid backbone that gives freshness and a clean, summery character.
The wine is fermented in metal tanks, the wine is intended for young consumption; this preserves the fresh acid and fruit profile, without heavy, overripe shades of maturity.
Serve at a temperature of 10-12 °C with fish dishes, fresh vegetable salads with cheese or as an aperitif.
Klaus Lotz Winery is located in the Moselle region, which is characterized by hills and steep slopes. The winery belongs to the Lotz family, which grows grapes from generation to generation in order to realize its goal of producing high-quality fruit and mineral wines that reflect the characteristics of the area. In addition to the famous grape varieties, the family also makes wine from the local black grape Dornfelder, which is well adapted to grow in a rather cool climate region.
