Sodo Sidrinė APYNIUOTAS is a semi-dry apple cider crafted from carefully selected apples grown in the Klumpė orchards. The foundation is built on ‘Auksis’, ‘Connell Red’, and other local varieties that provide a clear, pure apple character. A modern twist comes from two expressive hop varieties – ‘Simcoe’ and ‘Mosaic’ – which introduce notes of citrus, exotic fruits, and subtle herbal nuances to the classic apple profile.
This cider brings together two worlds: the natural fruitiness of the orchard and the aromatic backbone of hops. The semi-dry balance is maintained so that the cider remains fresh and light, yet retains enough structure and character. Sweetness is present only to the extent needed for balance, keeping the taste lively rather than flat. The result is a modern, vibrant cider for those who appreciate a refreshing style with more structural depth than a classic apple cider.
On the nose, fresh apple and pear notes are complemented by light citrus accents. These are followed by gentle herbal hop tones and subtle floral nuances. On the palate, the cider is clean and refreshing, with well-balanced acidity, a semi-dry profile, and a clearly defined yet restrained hop bitterness. The finish is medium in length, fresh, with hints of apple peel and a light herbal spice.
Serve at 6–8 °C. Excellent as an aperitif or paired with roasted chicken, pork, burgers, BBQ dishes, spicier Asian cuisine, and firmer cheeses such as Cheddar or Gouda.
