Fortified dry
Wine is a blend of two Solera's, one launched in 1964 in the dry oxidative Oloros style, the other in 1918, which holds sweet wine for an average age of 25 years. Majority of the wine is taken from Oloros solera mixed with sweet wine and bottled in separate barrels after a year. Dark amber color. Intense nose with aromas of woodwork. Plums and raisins also appear in the background. Full, resounding, balanced on the palate, with a soft aftertaste of natural sweetness that dissipates with a high volatile degree typical of its old age. Intense on the palate without being heavy, with smoky touches and soft toasted notes. Surprisingly dry without “planking” and finely almond-shaped.
Serve at 10-12 °C with spicy Asian dishes or refreshing desserts.
