White dry
Frontonio Botijo Blanco Garnacha Blanca Valdejalón 2024 is a refreshing and authentic white wine from Aragon. The wine is made from older ‘Garnacha Blanca’ vines, grown in arid conditions on the calcareous soils of Valdejalón. Minimal intervention in the winemaking process allows the natural character of the variety and the expression of the area to emerge.
The bouquet reveals notes of white peach, pear and citrus fruits, complemented by nuances of lime blossom, white flowers, fennel and lime peel. Subtle minerality and a light smoky accent give the aroma additional depth and uniqueness.
The wine is elegant and perfectly balanced. Lively acidity is combined with a soft texture, and the flavors of white fruits and citrus transition into a long, sweet-mineral and slightly salty aftertaste.
The vineyards are located in the Valdejalón IGP area of Aragon, where the climate is continental with Mediterranean influences. The poor calcareous soils and limited water naturally reduce yields and concentrate aromas, giving the wine its expressiveness and excellent balance.
After fermentation, the wine is briefly aged in concrete and stainless steel tanks with lees, giving it a softer texture while maintaining its pure fruitiness and mineral character.
Serve at 8 - 10 °C. Recommended pairings: oysters and other seafood, grilled white fish, sushi, salads, rice dishes, soft goat's milk cheeses or light poultry dishes.
The red 2024 Botijo Rojo Garnacha is juicy, primary, fruit-driven and clean, with a perfumed nose of flowers, wild berries and herbs. It's fine-boned, with contained ripeness, 13% alcohol and abundant, fine tannins. Here, they look for more freshness and red rather than black fruit. 25,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2025.
"Bodegas Frontonio" is a project by Master of Wine (MW) Fernando Morra, born from the desire to reveal the uniqueness of Aragon region wines. "Bodegas Frontonio" is located in the Aragon region, which encompasses appellations such as Valdejalon, Campo de Borja, Calatayud, and Somontano. Many people have barely heard of them, but it is believed that the 'Garnacha' variety (known as 'Grenache' in France) originated from these areas. Therefore, it is not surprising that in these appellations we can find many old 'Garnacha' vines. Fernando Morra initiated the creation of the "Mondo Garnacha" winemakers' group, whose goal is to preserve and nurture old vines, expressing the best qualities of 'Garnacha' wines. In the Valdejalon IGP appellation, the oldest surviving vines were planted in the 1890s! Luis Gutierrez (Robert Parker's Wine Advocate reviewer), reviewing 'Garnacha' wines from Aragon, Navarra, and several other areas around the "Frontonio" winery, wrote simply and unequivocally: "This time, Frontonio wines are the ones that show the most significant progress compared to previous vintages. Each year the wine gets better."
Wine Style

They are complemented by lesser-known but characteristic vineyards of the Aragon region.
Aging and Consumption Period
"Bodegas Frontonio" wines are aged to highlight the best qualities of the vineyards. The wines are aged in both oak barrels and other vessels, depending on the wine style. For this reason, "Bodegas Frontonio" wines are flexible – they can be enjoyed both young and aged.
