Kužums Winery Marquette 2024 is a red wine of distinctly northern character from Latvia, crafted by Kužums Winery based in Bauska, which produces wine exclusively from grapes grown locally in Zemgale. The choice of 'Marquette' here is no coincidence: it is one of the most promising cool-climate red varieties, capable of preserving fruitiness, freshness and clear structure even under northern conditions.
On the nose, the wine opens with notes of cherry, raspberry and darker forest berries, complemented by a light peppery touch, a subtle hint of vanilla and a gently earthy background.
The wine is lighter-bodied, fresh and juicy, with acidity playing an essential role in its style. 'Marquette' typically does not rely on massive tannins or heavy concentration — its strength lies in its liveliness, the clarity of the fruit and a tidy, rather gentle texture.

Kužums Winery is a winery located in Latvia, near Bauska in the Zemgale region. Its founder, Gatis Kužums, continues the family’s winemaking and viticulture traditions. The history of the estate dates back to Gatis’s father, Andrejs Kužums, who began growing grapes as early as the 1970s.
