Red dry
Seña 2022 marks the 28th vintage of this legendary Chilean estate, once again affirming its status as one of the most iconic South American wines. The winery was one of the first in the world to adopt biodynamic viticulture.
The wine's aroma is vivid and pure – notes of ripe cherries, plums, and red currants are beautifully complemented by hints of sweet spices. On the palate, it reveals youthful fruit, gentle spice, and elegant, silky tannins that lend the finish a sense of softness and depth.
The grapes are grown on the hillsides of the Aconcagua Valley, in a 42-hectare vineyard with colluvial soils. This is a finely tuned blend of grape varieties: 'Cabernet Sauvignon' 60%, 'Malbec' 25%, 'Carmenère' 9%, and 'Petit Verdot' 6%. Each variety has been carefully combined to highlight its unique character.
After fermentation, the wine was aged for 22 months – predominantly in new French oak barrels (90%), with a portion matured in large-format foudre oak casks (10%).
Serve at 16-18 °C with oven-roasted or barbecued beef, lamb, quail and other wild game meats.
