One of Italy’s most impressive and prestigious wine appellations, renowned for its power, elegance, and exceptional longevity. This wine is born around the town of Montalcino in southern Tuscany, where the hilly terrain, warm climate, and volcanic soils allow the 'Sangiovese' grape to reveal its full nobility.

The history of Brunello took shape in the 19th century when winemaker Clemente Santi selected the 'Sangiovese Grosso' variety—known today as "Brunello"—noted for its particular sturdiness. This selection became the foundation of the region's identity, and Brunello di Montalcino later earned one of the first DOCG statuses in Italy, symbolizing the highest quality and continuity of tradition.

The aroma of Brunello di Montalcino reveals a harmony of black cherries, blackberries, plums, dried herbs, tobacco, cocoa, cedar, and subtle earthy tones. On the palate, it is a full-bodied, structured, and tannic yet elegant wine, featuring intense but refined acidity and a long, minerally clean finish. With age, Brunello acquires a silky smoothness and complex notes of dried fruit, coffee, forest floor, and herbs.

Brunello is an exceptionally gastronomic wine. It pairs perfectly with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, game, beef stews, mushroom and truffle dishes, as well as aged cheeses. It is best served at a temperature of 17–18 °C; for young Brunello, decanting for 1–3 hours is highly recommended.
