Derenoncourt's Merlot Stagecoach Vineyard is laced with plums, espresso, grilled herbs, cloves, mocha, new leather and melted road tar. Here, too, the tannins are impressive, but at the same time the Merlot remains expressive, complex and full of the personality of this mountain location.
Serve at 16-18 °C with beef, venison, salami and prosciutto.
A dense and beautiful red with dark chocolate, violet and berry character. Full body, velvety tannins. Fresh and long on the finish. One of the best merlots in Napa.
