Jura captivates with its diversity of styles. The most famous is the oxidative Vin Jaune, made from Savagnin grapes and aged beneath a natural layer of yeast (voile), developing notes of nuts, spices and dried fruits. Alongside it are delicate, pale reds from Poulsard or more powerful Trousseau, as well as elegant Crémant du Jura sparkling wines made by the traditional method, and the rare sweet Vin de Paille. Jura is a small region, but its wines carry great weight in history, flavour and emotion.
