White dry
Georg Breuer Berg Schlossberg Rüdesheim Riesling 2023 is a premium white wine from the prestigious Rheingau region in Germany. The wine is distinguished by its elegance, minerality and longevity. The wine is made from grapes growing on steep slopes along the Rhine River, in one of the most famous vineyards – Berg Schlossberg.
The wine is perfectly balanced, with bright crisp acidity. There is a clean mineral backbone, citrus freshness and a long-lasting aftertaste.
The aroma is quite intense and complex: citrus fruits, white peaches, apples dominate, along with floral notes, slate minerality and subtle herbal tones.
Serve at 8-10 °C with white fish, both raw and grilled, sushi, seafood, Asian dishes with ginger and lemongrass, goat cheeses.
The haunting beauty of this racy masterpiece won’t be for everyone, but then—at the other end of the wine spectrum—Chateauneuf du Pape isn’t for everyone either. The combination of concentration and elegance is completely breathtaking and the wine remains subtle, delicate and quietly fascinating. Extremely long and refined finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold.
The 2023 Berg Schlossberg is intense in its radiant yellow color and also deep, intense and complex on the generous yet elegant and refined nose that opens to the dimensions of a grand cru. Silky, round and very elegant on the palate, this is a rich and intense, structured and very long Berg Schlossberg that is ripe and generous in flavors and texture but still pure, fine and mineral, a great interpretation of the vintage adapted by the genius Berg Schlossberg. The grapes were picked at the right time and thus with remarkably fine and elegant acidity. Textured almost like a fine Burgundy, the wine is provided with irresistible juicy fruit and a long and saline aftertaste with promising phenol as well as mineral grip. This is very long, intense and also powerful yet not alcoholic but athletic. 12.5% stated alcohol. Diam 30 cork. Tasted in August 2024.
