This is a classic Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Chardonnay’, perfectly reflecting the style of this prestigious Burgundy region. The grapes are grown on limestone slopes (at 220–325 m altitude), which make up around 60% of local production. The calcareous soil lends the wine a bright structure and distinct minerality.
The wine stands out with its pale lemon color and rich fruit-driven aromatic profile, combining orchard fruits, orange blossom, and subtle smoky nuances. These elements harmonize with the mineral character of the limestone terroir – a hallmark of Chassagne-Montrachet.
On the palate, the wine reveals energy and freshness: its structure is supported by gentle acidity, while the mineral notes add purity to the finish. Delicate smoky tones linger through to a silky, long-lasting finish filled with brightness and elegance.
The wine is aged for 17 months, including 4 months in stainless steel tanks and the remainder in French oak barrels, 23% of which are new. This imparts structure and a subtle oak expression, while preserving the wine’s pure fruit character.
