This is a Single Estate tequila from the "Tierras Negras" field in the highlands, where the greyish, clay-rich soil provides the drink with incredible minerality and natural sweetness. The 2024 Reposado edition was aged for 8 weeks and 8 days in used whiskey barrels, allowing it to retain a vibrant agave character with a gentle touch of oak.
The nose reveals notes of marzipan, stewed plums, peppermint, and eucalyptus. On the palate, the drink has a creamy texture, with hints of ripe pineapple, cocoa, a subtle touch of green bell pepper, and a refreshing minty aftertaste.
It is recommended to enjoy it neat in a tasting glass at room temperature or with one large ice cube. It pairs perfectly with aged cheeses, grilled meats, or rich desserts featuring dark chocolate.
