Red dry
Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco DOCG 2022 - This is one of the best examples of the classic Barbaresco style, created by the famous cooperative winemakers from Piedmont. “Produttori del Barbaresco” is considered a benchmark for the entire region – the wine is made only from ‘Nebbiolo’ grapes, harvested in various best vineyards in the village of Barbaresco and its surroundings. The 2022 harvest is distinguished by greater concentration and ripe fruitiness, but retains the elegance and terroir character characteristic of the region.
The aroma reveals cherries, raspberries, dried rose petals, violets, sweet spices and a subtle note of tar. Over time, nuances of licorice, tobacco, menthol and herbs emerge in the glass, giving the aroma a multi-layered character.
The wine is medium-weight, concentrated, but precisely balanced. Juicy cherry and dark plum tones combine with fresh acidity and firm, yet ripe tannins. Minerality and a light menthol note provide freshness, while a long finish reveals the classic Nebbiolo character of cherries, roses, liquorice and a subtle earthiness.
The Barbaresco zone is located in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, where calcareous marl soils and a cooler climate allow Nebbiolo to maintain its aromatic sophistication. The 2022 season was hot and dry, but the best wines are unexpectedly fresh and pure fruitiness. This wine perfectly reflects the strengths of the vintage - ripe ripeness, structure and elegance.
The wine is traditionally fermented with long maceration and aged in large oak barrels. Although pleasant to taste now, it will reveal its greatest potential after 5-10 years of aging, and the best bottles can develop for more than two decades.
Serve at 16-18 °C with roasted lamb, wild poultry dishes, fresh egg pasta seasoned with truffles or hard - medium intensity cheeses.
Bright and overtly fruity, this is full of intoxicating violets, cinnamon, blood oranges and black cherries, expressing mint and balsamic depth. Full-bodied with a soft, smooth attack, dusty yet velvety tannins and brilliant acidity. The chocolaty finish shows licorice and a mouth-coating texture. Delicious and balanced. Drink or hold.
Produttori del Barbaresco, founded in 1958, now has 51 members and controls more than 100 hectares of premium Nebbiolo vineyards in Barbaresco. Each family is in full control of its land, growing Nebbiolo grapes with centuries old skill and dedication. The vinery produces a Barbaresco DOCG, a blend of Nebbiolo grapes harvested from different vineyards, and a simpler Nebbiolo Langhe suited for earlier consumption. In great vintages, nine single-vineyard Barbarescos are produced from nine classic premium sites within the Barbaresco village boundaries: Asili, Rabajà, Pora, Montestefano, Ovello, Pajè, Montefico, Muncagota, and Rio Sordo. These are the geographical names of sites where Nebbiolo grapes have always been cultivated. The name of the single-vineyards, the total number of bottles produced, and the name of the owners of the vineyards are marked on the labels. Produttori del Barbaresco, which vinifies only Nebbiolo grapes, produce around 550 000 bottles per year. In a good vintage they are divided among Barbaresco (50%), single vineyard Barbarescos (30%) and Nebbiolo Langhe (20%).
