Zyplių dvaros white grape wine 2025 is a Lithuanian white wine produced in the Zyplių dvaros vineyard (Šakiai district, Suvalkija), in which the most important thing is not "sweetness", but northern freshness and a clear local character. The "Wine Magic" direction is based on grapes grown in the open field, suitable for the northern climate, which is why the wines naturally show acidity and a lighter structure.
Aroma
The wine smells fresh: apple, pear, citrus peel, sometimes a light shade of meadow flowers.
Taste
In the mouth: a fresh profile with brighter acidity and light weight. The texture is more slippery than creamy, the aftertaste remains clean fruitiness.
Terroir
The Zyplių Manor vineyard is located next to the manor park, where grapes are grown in open-air conditions, where the Lithuanian climate dictates the style of the wine: more freshness, less "weight", more precision. This is one of the more striking examples of how local terroir in Lithuania can be recognized in a glass.
Winemaking
The wine is described as having a more natural style, the wine may contain sediment and contains sulfites.
Serve at 8–10 °C with light snacks, fish, poultry, pasta dishes or cheeses.
“Vyno kerai” is one of the most distinctive and consistently developing Lithuanian winemaking projects, located at Zypliai Manor in the Šakiai region, in the historic area of Suvalkija. Here, winemaking is treated as a long-term cultural endeavor that brings together local terroir, historical heritage, and a modern approach to wine production.
The vineyard established on the grounds of Zypliai Manor is a strong example of how grapes can be successfully grown in Lithuania and transformed into high-quality local wine. The vines are cultivated outdoors, carefully adapted to the Lithuanian climate, with cold-resistant grape varieties selected specifically for northern growing conditions. As a result, the wines are characterized by freshness, vibrant acidity, and a clear sense of place.
Winemaking Philosophy
“Vyno kerai” focuses on:
Each wine reflects not only the grape variety but also the specific vintage conditions, soil characteristics, and maturation decisions. These are wines with identity, character, and a strong connection to their origin.
In addition to producing their own wines, “Vyno kerai” also supplies winemaking equipment, supporting both beginners and experienced winemakers. This activity naturally complements their own practice and contributes to the broader development of winemaking culture in Lithuania.
