White dry

Kir-Yianni Assyrtiko 2025

26,00 €

Description

Kir-Yianni Assyrtiko "The North" 2025 is a dry white wine from Northern Greece, crafted from 100% Assyrtiko grapes. Exhibiting a bright, lemon-yellow hue, the wine reveals aromas of peach, apricot, citrus fruits, and white flowers. It is fresh and vibrant, with its fruit-forward character balanced by acidity and a subtle minerality. The finish is long and refreshing.

The grapes are grown on the Amindeon plateau in the Florina region, at an altitude of 600–700 meters, in infertile, sandy soils. The cool climate, significant temperature fluctuations between day and night, and the influence of nearby lakes help preserve the freshness of the grapes.

The 2025 harvest took place between September 20 and October 1, with the grapes picked by hand. After careful selection, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks, and the wine was aged for 3 months on its fine lees.

Serving recommendations

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 9-11 °C. Recommended pairings: grilled fish, shrimp with lemon, seafood salad or fresh goat cheese.

About brand

The history of Kir-Yianni Winery dates back to 1997, when one of the most influential personalities in the Greek wine world, Yiannis Boutaris, separated from his famous grandfather, the Boutari Wine Group, founded in 1879. Currently, his charismatic son, Stellios Boutaris, who is a fifth-generation winemaker, runs the Kir-Yianni winery, whose vineyards are located on the slopes of Mount Vermio, 300-700 meters above sea level. The two main vineyards on the farm, dominated by the local Xinomavro grape, are in the appeals of the Greek region of Amyndeon and Naoussa.
