Eisele Vineyard is one of the most respected and historically significant vineyards in the entire Napa Valley. Located in the Calistoga area, the vineyard has been consistently associated with exceptional quality, clear terroir expression, and deep respect for nature since 1971.
History and Heritage
Grapes have been grown on this site since the late 19th century, but the name Eisele Vineyard rose to prominence in the 1970s, when fruit from this land was used to produce one of California’s earliest cult wines. The vineyard has previously been owned by notable figures such as Joseph Phelps and the Araujo family, and since 2013 it has belonged to the prestigious French estate Château Latour (Pinault Group), which continues the tradition of a natural, terroir-driven philosophy.

Terroir and Viticulture
Eisele Vineyard is renowned for its stony, deep gravel soils, which allow grapes to develop natural balance, freshness, and a clearly defined structure. The vineyard is fully certified organic and biodynamic, with all work carried out by hand and meticulous attention given to each individual vine.
Wine Style
Eisele wines represent a synthesis of elegance, structure, and terroir purity. The primary focus is on ‘Cabernet Sauvignon’ and ‘Syrah’, varieties that here achieve remarkable depth, longevity, and finesse. These are wines that speak for themselves—long-lived, intellectual in character, and consistently authentic.
