Délice des Crémiers is a soft cheese made from pasteurized cow’s milk and cream from Burgundy. It is matured in cellars for 10–14 days and then continues ageing in a wooden box for another 2 weeks. This double maturation process gives the cheese its exceptional creaminess and allows it to continue ripening even after packaging — when kept longer, its interior becomes even softer and more intense.
Its texture is extremely smooth, almost flowing, while the aroma reveals light notes of milk, butter, and subtly sweet cream. On the palate, the cheese is rich and creamy, yet balanced by a gentle spiciness that adds depth and character.
This is a typical Burgundy “vineyard cheese,” whose character is shaped not only by milk and cream, but also by its maturation conditions — humid cellars and slow ageing in a wooden box. As a result, Délice des Crémiers stands out for its refined softness and full, rounded flavour.
It can be enjoyed on its own or served as part of a cheese board, and pairs well with fresh bread or light dishes. Fresh, mineral-driven white wines are particularly suitable — for example, ‘Chardonnay’ without pronounced oak influence or white wines from Burgundy, which highlight its creaminess and subtle spiciness.
