Glera is the grape the world knows best by the famous name of Prosecco. Originating from the picturesque hills of Northern Italy, this variety has become synonymous with joyful moments, lightness, and Mediterranean elegance. Although the grape's name was officially changed to Glera in 2009 to protect the geographical designation of the Prosecco region, its essence remains unchanged. This sparkling wine charms with its crisp freshness, vibrant fruit aromas, and delicate bubbles. Glera is designed to be enjoyed here and now, offering the palate a symphony of juicy pears, green apples, and spring blossoms.

The Glera grape is demanding regarding moisture and sun exposure, making its home in the lush, cool northeastern corners of Italy.
In prestigious growing sites nestled between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, the slopes are so steep that the entire harvest is picked exclusively by hand. It is this specific terroir—cool mountain air combined with abundant sunshine—that allows Glera berries to maintain their vibrant acidity and accumulate elegant aromas. In different growing sites, the wine takes on varying nuances: from light and floral expressions in the plains to complex, mineral-driven, and substantial wines in the highest hills.
This wine captivates with its straightforward, clean, and incredibly refreshing character:
Glera (Prosecco) is one of the most versatile wines for food pairing, especially when looking for something light and approachable:
Until 2009, the grape was called Prosecco. However, to protect the region's uniqueness and prevent wine produced anywhere else in the world from using the name, the grape was returned to its ancient name, Glera. Today, "Prosecco" refers strictly to the protected geographical region in Italy.
DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) marks the quality base region, while DOCG (Garantita) signifies the highest quality growing sites on the hills. DOCG wines are typically more elegant, mineral, and produced in smaller quantities.
This wine is crafted for youthful enjoyment while its fruit aromas are at their peak. It is recommended to drink it within 1–2 years of the vintage to fully experience the energy and freshness the grape provides.
