An exceptional whisky that unites Scottish craftsmanship with Lithuanian character. This blended malt was created in collaboration between Scottish whisky producers and Lithuania’s “King & Mouse” whisky house, renowned for its passion for authentic, hand-selected cask maturations. A limited-edition release, it was aged for at least nine years in oak casks, balancing the fruitiness of the Highlands with the smoky elegance of the Islands.
The whisky was finished for an additional year and a half in Lithuanian blackcurrant and chokeberry wine barrels from the Roksala Winery. These casks imparted a unique layer of fruit depth, berry freshness, and delicate sweetness, distinguishing it from traditional Scotch profiles.
The aroma reveals honey, vanilla, toasted grains, baked apples, and gentle smoke. As it opens, notes of blackcurrant, dried berries, orange peel, and oak emerge, creating a rich and multi-dimensional impression.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, rounded, and harmonious, with tones of caramel, dried fruit, nuts, and soft spice. The Lithuanian wine casks add a touch of dark berries, chokeberry tartness, and bright acidity, maintaining an elegant balance throughout. The finish is long, warm, and subtly oaked, leaving a pleasant impression of fruit and spice.
This whisky serves as a bridge between Scottish tradition and Lithuanian creativity. The King & Mouse team carefully selected and blended malts from various distilleries, while the Lithuanian wine casks gave this edition its distinct local signature – a natural fruitiness, freshness, and refined Northern character.
