Fruit and berry dry
ARTUS blackberry wine 2025 is a berry wine in which the blackberry is revealed not in a “lemonade” way, but in a rich and dark way: with a concentration of forest berries, a soft texture and a clear, clean fruitiness. “Wine Magic” emphasizes local raw materials, small batches and more natural winemaking in its style, which is why it is more likely to seek authentic berries in the glass, rather than artificial sweetness.
Aroma
The aroma is dominated by blackberries, blackberry jam, ripe blueberries and a light nuance of forest floor (leaves, bark). The fruit is often accompanied by a subtle hint of cocoa / dark chocolate, which gives depth to the aroma.
Taste
In the mouth – a juicy, medium-heavy bodied wine: the taste of dark berries transitions into a soft “berry stone” tannin, which helps maintain the structure. The aftertaste is long, berry, with a soft spicy note.
Terroir
Blackberry in this style “carries” the signature of a cooler climate well: more freshness, clearer acidity and a cleaner berry line, which prevents the wine from becoming heavy. “Wine Magic” works purposefully with local berries and fruits, aiming to preserve the natural character of the raw material.
Winemaking
ARTUS line wines are presented as having a more natural style, therefore natural sediment is possible, and they contain sulfites.
Serve at 14–16 °C. Goes well with mature cheeses, duck, game, pâtés, as well as dark chocolate or berry desserts.
“Vyno kerai” is one of the most distinctive and consistently developing Lithuanian winemaking projects, located at Zypliai Manor in the Šakiai region, in the historic area of Suvalkija. Here, winemaking is treated as a long-term cultural endeavor that brings together local terroir, historical heritage, and a modern approach to wine production.
The vineyard established on the grounds of Zypliai Manor is a strong example of how grapes can be successfully grown in Lithuania and transformed into high-quality local wine. The vines are cultivated outdoors, carefully adapted to the Lithuanian climate, with cold-resistant grape varieties selected specifically for northern growing conditions. As a result, the wines are characterized by freshness, vibrant acidity, and a clear sense of place.
Winemaking Philosophy
“Vyno kerai” focuses on:
Each wine reflects not only the grape variety but also the specific vintage conditions, soil characteristics, and maturation decisions. These are wines with identity, character, and a strong connection to their origin.
In addition to producing their own wines, “Vyno kerai” also supplies winemaking equipment, supporting both beginners and experienced winemakers. This activity naturally complements their own practice and contributes to the broader development of winemaking culture in Lithuania.
