It features noticeable yet velvety, rounded tannins that have beautifully integrated over time, contributing to a remarkably long and expressive aftertaste. Reviewers often highlight its remarkable freshness and layered texture.

Château Lynch-Bages' vineyards, spanning around 90-100 hectares, are primarily planted on deep Garonne gravel soils characteristic of Pauillac. This unique terroir, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, is crucial to the wine's distinctive profile, providing excellent drainage and ideal conditions for the grapes to reach optimal ripeness.

The wine is then aged for 14-15 months (or sometimes up to 18 months, with 70-75% new French oak annually) in French oak barrels.

About brand

Château Lynch-Bages is a wine estate in the Pauillac appellation of the Bordeaux region, classified in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification as a Cinquième Grand Cru Classé, consistently recognized among the leading Bordeaux estates. Its history begins in the 18th century, when the Irish-born Lynch family acquired land in the village of Bages and started wine production. The estate name reflects both the land and the family surname, and since 1939 it has been owned by the Cazes family, who continue to strengthen its reputation among Bordeaux classics.

The vineyards are located in Pauillac on gravel and limestone soils, providing excellent drainage and heat accumulation, allowing optimal ripening of the vines. Covering around 90–100 hectares, the estate is planted mainly with classic Bordeaux red varieties: ‘Cabernet Sauvignon’, which gives structure and longevity to the wines, along with ‘Merlot’, ‘Cabernet Franc’, and ‘Petit Verdot’, contributing to aromatic complexity and depth. White varieties – ‘Sauvignon Blanc’, ‘Sémillon’, and ‘Muscadelle’ – are also grown for the production of Blanc de Lynch-Bages.

Château Lynch-Bages wines are known for their depth, clear structure, and long ageing potential. The main red wine is traditionally fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for about 15 months in French oak barrels, partly new.

From aroma to palate, the wines express the classic Pauillac character, revealing notes of black fruits, spices, minerals, and tobacco, with a long elegant finish. This expression makes Lynch-Bages highly valued by critics and collectors worldwide.
