The pomegranate (Punica granatum), also called “paradise apple” in Germany, grows on trees that are more than 100 years old and reach a height of 5 to 8 metres. Up to 400 seeds containing valuable nutrients can be found in a single piece of fruit. We process the pomegranate gently into 100% pure unfiltered juice.
This is a refined, dry juice which could replace not overly heavy red wines thanks to its delicate tannin structure and light body. Mix the juice 1:1 with sparkling water for a less sweet and even lighter, fruitier drink. A sparkling pomegranate spritzer is an excellent companion to intensely aromatic cold cuts and hams such as Prosciutto di Parma or Mortadella. Also goes well with appetizers, mild cheese, pasta, veal, poultry, saltwater fish.

The history of "Van Nahmen" began in 1917 when Wilhelm Van Nahmen founded an apple puree manufactory, which in the 1930s transitioned to producing apple juices from local Rhine region varieties. Since 2007, the family has been producing juices from rare varieties of various fruits, some of which are turned into non-alcoholic sparkling beverages. To preserve old varieties, the family not only collaborates with organic farmers growing traditional variety fruit trees but also plants between 500 and 800 local variety seedlings each year. Since 2005, the family business has been led by fourth-generation representative Peter van Nahmen, who believes that juices made from old varieties, like wine, reveal a wide world of aromas and sensations in the glass. The "Van Nahmen" family is a perfect example of how combining regional traditions, biodiversity preservation, and an innovative approach can create a successful product. Currently, "Van Nahmen" offers various single-variety juices, sparkling juice teas, and sparkling juice cocktails (non-alcoholic alternatives to sparkling wines), as well as ciders. The products have an EU organic certificate.
