Hedges Family Estate, located in the prestigious Red Mountain AVA in Washington State, is renowned not only for the quality of its wines but also for its deep commitment to biodynamic farming and respect for terroir. The winery was founded in 1987 by Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges, who brought together American and European wine traditions. Over time, the family estate has grown and is now led by the second generation — Sarah Hedges and Christophe Hedges.
The Hedges family believes that the finest wines are born when nature is allowed to express itself freely. For this reason, the estate has eliminated synthetic chemicals, adopted biodynamic certification, and follows traditional viticultural practices. Their philosophy is rooted in the belief that true quality emerges from harmony between soil, vine, and human stewardship.

Ageing and Drinking Window
Hedges wines are crafted to be enjoyable both young and with age. Most red wines are aged in French and American oak barrels (around 30% new oak), while whites are matured in a combination of stainless steel and seasoned oak.
While approachable upon release, especially the Cabernet Sauvignon–based wines show excellent ageing potential, with top cuvées developing beautifully for 10–15 years or more.
