Sparkling dry
Champagne Domaine Vincey Lieu-Dit “Chemin de Châlons” Le Mesnil Grand Cru 2021 – a pure expression of Côte des Blancs craftsmanship, born from one of Champagne’s most iconic villages – Le Mesnil-sur-Oger Grand Cru. This ‘Chardonnay’ embodies everything that makes Le Mesnil legendary: precision, chalk-driven minerality, and timeless elegance.
Florence and Quentin Vincey craft this wine as a single-parcel expression (lieu-dit), allowing the terroir to speak without interference – no dosage, no filtration, only native yeasts and extended aging on lees.
In the glass, it shines pale gold with subtle green reflections, like morning light glancing across a chalky slope. The bouquet is both precise and powerful, opening with notes of lemon zest, white peach, green apple, damp chalk, and toasted hazelnut. Gentle hints of brioche, smoke, and sea salt follow – evoking the cool air and mineral-rich soils of Le Mesnil.
On the palate, this Champagne reveals vibrant acidity and a saline, chalky texture, balanced by a delicate, creamy structure. Each sip is a dialogue between light and depth, unfolding into a long, pure, and mineral finish.
Chemin de Châlons is a small, southeast-facing parcel in Le Mesnil Grand Cru, where chalk and limestone soils give the Chardonnay its distinctive clarity and tension. The site’s natural coolness ensures slow ripening, preserving freshness, finesse, and electric energy.
Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, partly in oak barrels and partly in stainless steel, maintaining harmony between texture and transparency. The Champagne is then aged on fine lees for 3–5 years, gaining texture, creaminess, and subtle brioche nuances. Dosage: Brut Nature, allowing the terroir to shine in its purest form.
Serve at 8–10 °C. Pairs perfectly with oysters, lemon sea bass, or mild goat cheese with olive oil and herbs.
Champagne Domaine Vincey is a grower Champagne estate located in the village of Oger Grand Cru, in the prestigious Côte des Blancs region. Here, Chardonnay vines grow on limestone-rich soils, cultivated using biodynamic principles and a minimal-intervention approach in the vineyards.
The Vincey family’s winemaking tradition dates back to the early 20th century. The estate took on its modern identity in 2014, when Florence and Quentin Vincey assumed leadership and began a focused transition toward organic and biodynamic viticulture.
The younger generation of the Vincey family is committed to expressing authentic terroir character. Each parcel is vinified separately, wild yeasts are used, wines are unfiltered, and no chemical treatments are applied in the vineyards.
