A mineral-driven Champagne from one of the most respected Grower Champagne houses. Egly-Ouriet is internationally acclaimed for its deep respect for terroir, natural winemaking philosophy, and extended aging on the lees.
Les Vignes de Bisseuil represents the purest expression of Chardonnay, reflecting the precision and chalky clarity of the Premier Cru village of Bisseuil.
On the nose, aromas of lemon zest, white peach, pear, and white flowers unfold, complemented by notes of brioche, toasted almonds, and chalky minerality. The aromatic profile is bright, precise, and elegantly pure, a hallmark of the Egly-Ouriet style.
On the palate, the Champagne reveals a creamy texture and fine, persistent bubbles. Flavors of fresh citrus, clean white fruit, and subtle autolytic notes lead into a saline, mineral-driven, long and dry finish. The acidity is lively and precise, giving the wine structure, tension, and elegance.
This wine is made from 100% Chardonnay, grown in the Premier Cru village of Bisseuil in the Montagne de Reims. The chalky clay and marl soils contribute a mineral backbone, refined depth, and a delicate saline character.
The Champagne is aged on the lees for approximately three years, and a low dosage of 3 g/L allows the wine’s natural dryness, purity, and terroir expression to shine through.
