Sparkling dry
One of the rarer champagnes, made from 100% 'Pinot Noir' grapes, grown in Aÿ Grand Cru.
A round, creamy champagne, enlivened by orange peel acidity, fine, sharp bubbles, and minerality. A champagne with creamy pear, star anise, linden blossom, almond, and honeycomb aromas in the glass. The surge of fruit and acidity in the champagne is immense. It is a deep and mouth-filling champagne of exceptional richness.
The vine age in the Cheuzelles, Longchamp, Pierre Robert, Pruche, Chauffour growing sites exceeds 50 years.
After malolactic fermentation, the champagne is aged on lees for 36+ months.
Dosage: 5 g/l.
Serve at 6-8 °C as an aperitif, with seafood, fish, soft cheese plate.
A round and creamy Champagne enlivened by orange peel acidity, a fine, zesty bead and a tang of salinity, this offers a pretty, well-meshed mix of creamed pear, star anise, lime blossoms, blanched almond and honeycomb. Disgorged March 2021. Drink now through 2029. 75 cases imported.
Disgorged in January 2021, Hébrart's 2016 Extra-Brut Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru Noces de Craie wafts from the glass with expressive aromas of stone fruits, green mango, confit citrus and buttery pastry. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, it's a vibrant but gourmand wine with a generous, enveloping profile and a fine, pillowy mousse that's true to its Aÿ origins. This is a gastronomic Champagne that would go well with food.
Jean-Paul Hébrart took over the management of the Champagne Marc Hébrart estate from his father, Marc Hébrart, in 1997. The estate is located in the Vallée de la Marne subregion of Champagne. Marc Hébrart began producing champagne under his own name in 1964. Today, the family owns 14 hectares of vineyards spread across 65 plots in six villages: 1er Cru vineyards in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Avenay-Val-d'Or, and Bisseuil, as well as Grand Cru villages in Aÿ, Chouilly, and Oiry in the Côte des Blancs region.
The "Spécial Club Champagne" represents the highest classification level that grower-producers can achieve. Membership in this exclusive club requires strict adherence to rigorous quality standards, with an intensive, multi-stage inspection process that begins each year in early February. Marc Hébrart has been a member of Club Trésors de Champagne, also known as "Spécial Club," since 1985.
Wine Style
Hébrart Champagnes are full-bodied and expressive, yet not heavy. The entire range is of consistently high quality and offers an excellent price-to-quality ratio.
Prestigious Vineyards
The winery owns prestigious vineyards, some acquired as early as 1962. Among them, the most notable are:
These are complemented by lesser-known but uniquely expressive vineyards in Avenay-Val-d'Or and Bisseuil.
Aging and Consumption Period
Jean-Paul Hébrart Champagnes are perfectly balanced and enjoyable to drink immediately, while also having the potential to age and develop beautifully over time. For example, "Spécial Club" Champagnes are aged for 36 months before release, adding extra complexity and depth.
