Protos Crianza Ribera del Duero DO 2020 is an elegant, matured red wine from one of the most famous wine regions in Spain - Ribera del Duero. Made from 100% Tempranillo (locally known as Tinta del País) grapes, this wine perfectly reflects the deep winemaking traditions and modern craftsmanship of this region.
The wine is aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels + 12 months in the bottle.
Protos Crianza 2020 is characterized by an intense cherry red color with pomegranate shades. The aroma is dominated by ripe red berries, sweet spices, vanilla, coffee and a light smoky aftertaste. The wine is balanced, with soft tannins, smooth acidity, and a long aftertaste.
Serve at a temperature of 16-18 °C with lamb, veal, lighter wild game and poultry dishes seasoned with mushrooms or mature, hard cheeses.
Upfront spices and coffee from the oak with grilled meat and rich dark cherry fruit. It turns a little floral as it unfurls in the glass. Angular, chewy tannins on the palate with medium to full body and a tight, medium-long finish. Drink from 2024.
