White dry
An aromatic wine, having borrowed a touch of vanilla and spice from partial ageing in oak barrels, is made from selected harvests of the 'Gaillard' and 'Chateau Gimont' vineyards. Limestone and loamy soils dominate here.
The wine was aged for 9 months in French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks.
A refreshing wine with aromas of fresh pears, quinces, pineapples, and honey. On the palate, citrus acidity provides a sense of freshness, along with a long-lasting, balanced finish.
Serve at 10–12 °C with meaty fish such as halibut or cod, grilled chicken or salmon steak.
Domaine Rolet was founded in 1942 by Désiré Rolet before being passed on to his children. Today, the Domaine's vines average 45 years old and span 65ha across the Jura region of Eastern France, with vineyards in the AOCs of Arbois, Cotes du Jura, l'Etoile, and Chateau-Chalon.Classic Jura varieties are planted across steep slopes on appropriate soils; Chardonnay (light marls), Savagnin (grey marls), Poulsard (red & blue marls), Trousseau (heavy gravels) and Pinot Noir (light marls). Vines are tended through organic farming practices, and hand-harvested each year producing yields between 15-50 hl. Further sorting ensures that only the best quality grapes are seen through to barrel. Most wines are aged for around 18 months in oak, replacing a quarter of their barrels each year.The resulting wines have gained the Domaine a reputation for excellence with wine professionals and drinkers alike with their purity and concentration.
