Red dry
Vérité 2017 Mix Case - La Muse, La Joie, La Desir - three bottles of Vérité "Bordeaux style" wine from the 2017 vintage (3 × 0.75 l): La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir. The wines are created by Pierre Seillan (Jackson Family Wines) according to the "micro-cru" philosophy - selecting a small part of the harvest from the best plots of Sonoma County and blending them into one precise expression. The 2017 season has matured concentrated but elegant wines with a solid structure and long maturation potential.
The main variety of each cuvée (La Muse - Merlot, La Joie - Cabernet Sauvignon, Le Désir - Cabernet Franc) with small proportions of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, sometimes Malbec/Petit Verdot.
La Muse (Merlot-mostly) - style: rich, velvety, deep. Aromas: black plums, blue berries, cocoa, dark chocolate, violets, sweet tobacco, subtle cedar. Taste: full, creamy texture, ripe, fine tannins; layered, with nuances of graphite and coffee. Aftertaste: very long, stays clean thanks to precise acidity.
La Joie (Cabernet Sauvignon-mostly) - style: the most powerful of the trio, "left bank" character. Aromas: black currants, blueberries, graphite, cedar, sage, pepper, hints of burnt stone/minerality. Taste: firm, with assertive but smooth tannins; precise acidity. Aftertaste: long, with notes of black berries and spices.
Le Désir (Cabernet Franc-mostly) - style: aromatic, noble, most "northern"; precisely vertical structure. Aromas: blackberries, cherries, violets, meadow grasses, graphite, licorice, a subtle background of sweet spices. Taste: lively, penetrating acidity, silky, fine tannins; multi-layered and energetic. Aftertaste: long, mineral, with herbal and cherry notes.
La Muse – 14,2 %.
La Joie – 14,0 %.
Le Désir – 13,8 %.
